    The two trains will meet when the sum of the distances covered by the two trains is 504 miles.

    distance = speed x time.

    Let the time covered when they meet be x, then:

    80x + 100x = 504

    180x = 504

    x = 504/180 = 2.8.

    Therefore, the two trains will meet in 2 hours 48 mins.
