    1 and 2/3 per salad

1 and 1/2 salad eaten then 2 and 7/10 salad eaten

    subtract salads eaten

    1 and 1/2=1 and 5/10

    2 and 7/10-1 and 5/10=1and 2/10=1 and 1/5

    convert to improper fraction

    6/5=salads eaten

so 1 and 2/3 to imporper is 5/3

so multiply amount per salad by salad eaten

    5/3 times 6/5=30/15=2

    answer is 2 more tomatoes
