how do I solve it in quadratic form?

    The formula for solving a quadratic equation is - b + or minus the square root of b - 4ac divided by 2a. You can search up the formula is this doesn't sound clear to you but this is one you should memorize. You can just plug in all the numbers but the answer is k = 1, - 6
