Two consecutive, odd integers have the property that when the smaller is add to twice the larger, the sum is 43. Find an equation that could be used to determine the smaller integer represents by the variable n.

    If the smaller integer is n, then the larger one has to be n+2

    n + 2 (n+2) = 43
