At a certain University the student to teacher ratio is 16:1. If there are 2,000 students and rolled how many teachers must be employee to maintain this ratio

    Essentially, the equation is 2000/x = 16/1

    We can use cross multiplication to show that 2000 = 16x

    x = 125

    There are 125 teachers.
