    A.) (2, 5)

    step by step explanation.

    y = x + 3

    2x + y = 9

    we can either use the substitution method or the addition method I will use substitution

    y = x + 3

    y=-2x+9

    If the left sides are equal then we can write it as x+3 = - 2x+9

    x+3 = - 2x+9

    x+2x = 9 - 3

    3x = 6

    divide both sides by 3

    x = 2

    now we can put 2 in any of the above two equation and we will get our y

    y = x + 3

    by putting the value of x

    y = 2 + 3

    y = 5 so we know the answer is A. (2, 5)
