    Total number of outcomes = 100-999 = 900 outcomes

    lowest perfect square = 100

    highest perfect square = √1000 ≈ 31.5

    = 31^2 = 961

    So; No of perfect squares = 10-31 = 22

    So; probability of getting a perfect square = 22/900 = 11/450
