There are 2 dollars so that would equal 20 dimes.

    Proof:

    10 cents = a dime

    20 x 10 = 200 = 2 dollars

    __

There are 35 cents to that would equal 3 dimes and 1 nickel.

    Proof:

    10 cents = a dime

    5 cents = a nickel

    3 x 10 = 30

    1 x 5 = 5

    __

So the final answer would be 23 dimes and 1 nickel.
