    4 (x+7) + 3 (2x+3) =

    (4x+28) + (6x+9) =

    4x+28+6x+9=

    First start with distributing

    4 times X = 4X

    4 times 7 = 28

    So: 4X + 28

    3 times 2X = 6X

    3 times 3 = 9

    So: 6X + 9

    Now your new equation is:

    (4X + 28) + (6X + 9)

Next do addition of the same type of number

    4X + 6X = 10X

    28 + 9 = 37

    So: 10X + 37
