completing the square is making the expression a bunch of perfect squares in order to solve it easily and find

    Step-by-step explanation:

    If i have the expression x^2 + 4x + 1 = 0

i move the one to the right side

    x^2+4x=-1

then i add b over 2 squared to both sides

    that is x^2+4x+4=3

now i would simply take the square root of both sides of this equation,

    (x+2) ^2=positive or negative 1.73

    x+2=-1.73

    x+2=1.73

then you subtract or add to solve for both possible values of x
