    3/6.3=4.5/x

    3/6.3 (6.3) = 4.5/x (6.3)

    3=28.35/x

    3 (x) = 28.35/x (x)

    3x=28.35

    3x/3=28.35/3

    x=9.45

    The cost of 4.5 pounds will be $9.45
