If diameter of a circle is twice as large as the diameter of a smaller circle, What

is the ratio of area of larger circle to area of smaller circle?

    2R = 2*2r

    Area of larger circle = πR²=π (2r) ² = π*4r²

    Area of smaller circle = πr²

    π*4r² / πr² = 4/1
