If the ratio is 4:3:2 each part of that ratio has a value of:

    216 / (4+3+2)

    216/9=24

    Since A pays four parts,

    A pays 4*24=£96

    4+3+2=9

    216 (share/9)

    A pays 216 * (4:9) = 96

    B 216 * (3:9) = 72

    C 216 * (2:9) = 48
