Parallel lines are two lines that are always the same distance apart and never touch.

While two distinct lines intersecting each other at 90° or a right angle are called perpendicular lines. Like an L.

When there are two parallel lines, these two lines are never able to intersect or touch. Perpendicular lines are two lines in which one of the lines intersects the other line, and the angles created from the intersection of these two lines are all right angles.
