    9, 13, 17

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Substitute n = 1, 2, 3 into the n th term formula, that is

    a₁ = 4 (1) + 5 = 4 + 5 = 9

    a₂ = 4 (2) + 5 = 8 + 5 = 13

    a₃ = 4 (3) + 5 = 12 + 5 = 17

    Thus the first 3 terms are 9, 13, 17
