A sample of 150 firecrackers contained 8 duds. How many duds should you expect in a sample of 2850 firecrackers

    You have to set up a proportion for this problem. if there were 8 duds in 50 how many in 2850.

    set it up like this 8/50=x/2850. cross multiply so it's 2850 (8) = 50x.

    x=456
