two trains going in opposite directions leave from the same station on parallel tracks. One train travels at 50 mph and the other at 60 mph. How long will it take for the trains to be able to be 440 miles apart?

    In 1 hour, the trains will be 110 miles apart because 60 + 50 = 110. 440 divided by 110 = 4. 4 hours.
