    Area of circle A = 1133.54 square feet

    Circumference of circle A = 119.32 feet

    Step-by-step explanation:

    d = diameter of circle A

    D = diameter of circle B

    For circle A

    r = 2D - 3

    Therefore, the diameter of circle A is 2 * the r

    d = 2 * (2D - 3)

    d = 4D - 6

    and

    d + D = 49

    slot in the value of d

    4D - 6 + D = 49

    4D + D = 49 + 6

    5D = 55

    Divide both sides by 5

    D = 11

    Slot in the value of D in d = 4D - 6

    d = 4*11 - 6

    d = 44 - 6

    d = 38

    Area of circle A = πd^2 / 4

    = 3.14 * 38^2 / 4

    1133.54 square feet

    Circumference of circle A = πd

    = 3.14 * 38

    = 119.32 feet
