    number of feet away from the sprinkler = 12 ft

    Step-by-step explanation:

    The number of feet away which the sprinkler is spreading water is the radius of the circle formed.

    area of a circle = πr²

    where

    r = radius

    area of the circle formed = 452.16 ft²

    area of a circle = πr²

    area of a circle = 3.14 * r²

    452.16 = 3.14r²

    divide both sides by 3.14

    r² = 452.16/3.14

    r² = 144

    square root both sides

    r = √144

    r = 12 ft

    number of feet away from the sprinkler = 12 ft
