How do you solve for 5 - (2x-3) = -8+2x

    When there is a "-" infringe of a parentheses change the sign of each term in the parentheses. turning it into: 5-2x3=-8+2x then you add numbers 5 and 3 turn it into 8 8-2x=8+2x
