2x^2-2x+2. make sure you distribute the 'negative' to the second part. so distribute the negative to a positive would be negative, but with a negative it would become positive (so add the terms)

    2x²-2x+2

    Step-by-step explanation:

To subtract polynomials, combine like terms:

    3x²-x² = 2x²

-2x has no like terms; that leaves - 2x

    5-3 = 2

    This gives us

    2x²-2x+2
