They handed out a large number of tickets to speeders going a mean of 28 mph, with a standard deviation of 2.4 mph, a maximum of 33 mph, and an iqr of 3.2 mph. Local law prescribes fines of $100, plus $10 per mile per hour over the 20 mph speed limit. For example, a driver convicted of going 25 mph would be fined 100 + 10152 = + 150. Find the mean, standard deviation, maximum, and iqr of all the potential fines.

    As given in the problem statement

    speed=28 mph

    standard deviation-2.4 mph

    maximum limit=33 mph

    and iqr=3.2 mph

    Using statistics

    mean will be 24.5 mph

    The mean would be 100+10 * (28-20) = $180

    The max would be 100+10 * (33-20) = $230

    The IQR is $205-$135=$70
