A parking lot has a total of 60 cars and trucks. the ratio of cars to trucks is 7:3. how many cars are in the parking lot? how many trucks are in the parking lot? justify your answers.

    A) c + t = 60

    B) 3c = 7t

    Multiplying A) by - 3

    A) - 3c + - 3t = - 180 then adding this to b

    B) 3c = 7t

    180 = 10t

    trucks = 18

    cars = 42
