Are negative numbers prime or composite?

    Negative numbers aren't considered in any of those categories.

    depends on the value of said negative number. even if they are negative it has nothing to do with them being prime or composite. 3, for example, will always be a composite number. everything that can be multiplied evenly by 3 will also always be a composite number.
