The diagonal of a square measures 32 meter. what is the area of the square? (area of a square is equal to side squared)

    If the side of the square = x meters we have the equation; -

    32^2 = x^2 + x^2 (by the Pythagoras theorem)

    2x^2 = 32^2

    x^2 = 16 * 32 = 512

    The area of the square is 512 m^2
