by looking at fhe numerator and denominator of a fracrion, how can you tell whether the fraction is greater than or less than 1/2.

    Says you have y/x.

    If you can subtract 1/2 from y/x, then the number is greater than 1/2.

    If you subtract, and the result is negative, then the number is less than 1/2.
