    The discriminant:

    D = b² - 4 a c = 7² - 4· 3 · 2 = 49 - 24 = 25

    D > 0 This function has 2 x-intercepts (2 zeroes).

    x 1 = (-7+5) / 6 = - 1/3

    x 2 = (-7-5) / 6 = - 2
