Okay, so I was supposed to Simplify the expression 4 (3x + 2) - 2 and Factor 20b - 16 completely can anyone tell me if I am correct?

4 (3x + 2) - 2 12+8 12x+8-2 8-2=6 12x+6

4 * 56 - 4 * 4 = 4 I rewrote 20 as 4 * 5 and 16 as 4 * 4

    (4) given 4 (3x + 2) - 2 (distribute the bracket by the 4)

    = 12x + 8 - 2 = 12x + 6

    given 20b - 16

20 and 16 have a common factor of 4 which can be taken out

    = 4 (5b - 4) ← in factored form
