    Answer: The first no. is 6 and the second no. is 4.

    Step-by-step explanation: Let the 2 no. s be x and y respectively.

    →x + 2y = 14

    →x-y = 2

    ∴ x = 2+y

    y = y

    ∴ x+2y=14

    = 2+y+2y=14

    3y=14-2

    3y=12, y = 12/3=4

    ∴y = 4

    →x = 2+y

    = 2+4=6

    ∴x=6

    Thus, the first no. is 6 and the second no. is 4.
