Find the value of y when x equals - 2 in this equation.

-3x + 3y = - 12

    Plug in - 2 for x.

    -3 (-2) + 3y=-12

    6+3y=-12 then subtract 6 from both sides

    3y=-18 divide both sides by 3

    Y=-6
