    Let us assume Ivan worked = x hours.

    Jill worked 2 more hours than Ivan.

    Therefore, jill worked = x + 2 hours.

    Susie worked three times as many hours as Jill.

    Therefore, Susie woked 3 times of number of hours of Jill = 3 (x+2).

    Total number of hours they worked together = 48 hours.

    Number of hours Ivan worked + Number of hours Jill worked + Number of hours Susie worked = 48.

    Therefore,

    x + x+2 + 3 (x+2) = 48.

    Distributing 3 over (x+2), we get 3x + 6.

    Therefore,

    x + x+2 + 3 (x+2) = 48

    => x+x+2+3x+2 = 48.

    Combining like terms, we get

    5x + 4 = 48.

    Subtracting 4 from both sides, we get

    5x + 4-4 = 48-4.

    5x = 44.

    Dividing both sides by 5, we get

    x = 44/5 hours or 8 4/5 hours.

    Therefore, Ivan worked = 8 4/5 hours.

    Jill worked = x + 2 hours = 8 4/5 hours + 3 = 11 4/5 hours.

    Susie woked = 3 (x+2) = 3 (44/5 + 2) = 3 (54/5) = 162/5 hours or 32 2/5 hours.
