    So what they want is to undistribute

    ab+ac=a (b+c)

    but they want their gcf or greatest common factor as 'a' so

    27=3 times 3itme s3

    18=2 times 3 times 3

    gcf=3 times 3=9

    27/9=3

    18/9=2

    27+18=9 (3+2) = 9 (5) = 45
