    We use positive and negative numbers when we deal with money. How much money you have can be represented by positive or negative numbers. If you have money, then you have a positive number, if you have no money, then you have zero dollars, but if you owe money, then you have a negative amount of money.

    Zero is neither a postive nor negative number, and in this case, zero means you posess no money.
