Last year there were 380 students at Woodland Middle School this year the student population will increase by 5% what would be the schools increased student population

    Set up an proportion.

    380 • 5 = 1,900

    1,900 / 100 = 19

    Since it's an increase, add the new amount t the original.

    380 + 19 = 399
