    78 red apples

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Set up the equations

    r + y + g = 130

    y = 3g

    r = 2y

    If r = 2y and y = 3g, then r = 6g

    Plug in the two equations, y = 3g, and r = 6g

    6g + 3g + g = 130

    10g = 130

    g = 13

    Plug in 13 as g in the equation r = 6g

    r = 6 (13)

    r = 78

    There were 78 red apples
