    First convert 1/12 of an hour to minutes 1 hr = 60 minutes 1/12 x 60 = 5 minutes ratio and proportion 2/5 / 5 = x/60 cross multiply 5x = 24 x = 4 4/5 mi or 4.8 mi

2/5 in 1/12 of an hour

    x in 1 hour

So multiply 12 to both fractions

    2/5 x 12 in 1/12 x 12 of an hour

    We get now:

    24/5 in 1 hour

    or:

    4 4/5 in 1 hour
