If the aorta (diameter of da) branches into two equal-sized arteries with a combined area equal to the aorta, what is the diameter of one of the branches?

    If each of the branches has half the area of the aorta, its linear scale factor is the square root of 1/2, or (√2) / 2.

    The diameter of one of the branches is (da*√2) / 2.
