Samantha wants to buy 6 roses, 4 carnations, and 8 tulips. she estimates that she will spend about $14 on these flowers. Do you agree?

The flower chart is prices for half dozen

Roses - $5.29

Carnations-$3.59

Tulips-$4.79

    Samantha's estimate is wrong. She would definitely spend way more on the flowers then just $14.00. Here is why i think so:

    Roses-For all 6 of them they would be about $11.29

    Carnations-They would be about $7.59

    Tulips:They would be about $12.79

    In all the total would come around to $31.67.

    I also want to make it clear that i didn't round these, i added them in my head.

    Roses can be founded to $5

    Carnations can be rounded to $4

    Tulips can be rounded to $5

    5 + 4 + 5 = $14
