    D is drinks

    P is popcorn

    14d+9p=238.25

    7d+8p=153.25

    Multiply the second equation by (-2) and add to first equation

    -14d-16p=-306.50

    14d+9p=238.25

    -7p=-68.25

    P=9.75

    Now plug p into one equation to find d

    7d+78=153.25

    7d=75.25

    D=10.75
