The students at Fields School have been asked to vote on new school hours. The two options are from 7:30 A. M to 2:30 P. M or from 8:15 A. M to 3:15 P. M. The later start time won by a ratio of 2 to 1.

A. Explain what the ratio means in this context.

B. If 300 students voted, how many voted for the earlier start time?

    2:1 = 2/3+1/3

    b)

    300/3=100
