    To find the terms in a linear sequence;

    Tn = a + (n-1) d

    a = 2 (first term)

    n = (nth term)

    d = (difference between two terms, e. g T3 - T2)

    From the given data;

    Tn = 2 + (n-1) 8

    Open the bracket

    Tn = 2 + 8n - 8

    Tn = 8n - 6

    Therefore, the formula for the sequence is: Tn = 8n - 6
