    If x is denominator, numerator is x + 5

    If 3 is added to both the numerator and denominator, then

    x + 5+3 / x + 3 = 4/3

    3 (x+8) = 4 (x+3)

    3x + 24 = 4x + 12

    3x-4x = 12-24

    x = 12

    x = 12+5 = 17

    So, (x+5+3) / x+3

    = 20/15 = 4/3
