The length of a rectangle is four feet less than twice width. The area of the rectangle is 70 square feet. Find the dimensions of the rectangle

    70=A=Lw

    L=2w-4

    70 = (2w-4) w

    70=2w²-4w

    70=2 (w²-2w)

    35=w²-2w

    0=w²-2w-35

    0 = (w+7) (w-5)

    -7=w or w=5

    Measurements aren't negative

    w=5 ft

    L=2 (5) - 4

    L=6 ft
