Find the area of the figure. If you need to use pi in your computation, approximate its value as 3.14. Round to the nearest hundredth. Rectangle topped by a semicircle

    I find it easier to have a visual for when solving for shapes. You should solve for area of the semicircles by doing A = (3.14r^2) / 2

    Radius in this case is the base / 2

    In a Calculator that can be inputted as (3.14 (4)) / 2

    for this problem though I'm afraid that I need to know whether the height belongs to the figure as a whole or just regarding the rectangle.

    If it is just the rectangle then we can do A=B*h

    A = 4*5 = 20

    20 + semicircle

    20 + 6.28

    Total = 26.28
