How do you apply distributive property to a problem to make a new equation?

    Answer:To use the distributive property to solve an equation, multiply the term outside the parenthesis by each term inside the parenthesis. For example, if there is a 4 outside the parenthesis and an x minus 3 inside of them, change it to 4 times x minus 4 times 3.
