What is 3 (x-1) - 4x+5 combined? Also can you explain how you did it

    You would distribute 3 (x-1) and would get 3x-3. Next you have 3x-3-4x-5, then you would subtract - 4x and 3x and would end up with - 1x. Finally add - 5 and - 3 and end up with - 8. Your answer would be - 1x-8. (If your supposed to solve it, divide - 1x by - 8. The answer would be x=8)
