lisa history book is 1 1/6 inches thick her math book is 1 3/8 inches thick, how much thicker is her math book than her history book?

    5/24 or 10/48 you would have to make the fractions the same denominator. You would then find the difference between the fractions. 1/6 would be 8/48 and 3/8 would be 18/48. subtract the two and you get 10/48 or 5/24.
