    Let x be the width.

    length is 25m greater than the width, hence, x+25 will represent the length.

    perimeter is 310m

    W=x

    L = x+25

    Solution:

    P=2 (L+w)

    310m=2[ (x+25m) + x) ]

    combine like terms

    310m=2 (2x+25m)

    310m=4x+50m

    transpose

    310m-50m=4x

    260m=4x

    divide both sides by 4

    65 = x

    now that we have the measurement of the width. get the measurement of the length

    Length = x+25m

    L=65m+25m

    L=90m
