Day-old goods at the bakery are sold at a discount of 60%. If the original price of a loaf of bread was $2.98, how much will you save by buying a day-old loaf?

    The answer is you would save 1.79$

    First you have to put that in to an equation

    The equation would be. 60*2.98=*

    multiply. 60 and 2.98 and you get 1.7880

    When you are working with money you have to simplify which would give you 1.79

    That means you saved 1.79$
