    Step-by-step explanation:

    55x + 70y = 1480

    x + y = 25

    55x + 70y = 1480

    -55x - 55y = - 1375

    15y = 105

    y = 7 VIP tickets sold

    x + 7 = 25

    x = 18 general admission tickets
